Lost City Found!!!

A lost city from more than 1,000 years ago has been uncovered by a Russian archaeologist.  This city adopted Judaism and seemed to have many inhabitants.  Major discoveries of this caliber are rare and are truly an interesting find.  What types of artifacts do you think that the archaeologist is finding at this site?  What does the archaeologist need to find that confirms that it is indeed the lost city of Khazars?  Identify another great archaeologist find like this one from another part of the world.

Pirates off the Coast of Africa

Pirates are not just a far long ago career choice for bearded men, nor is it a fantasy Disney characters.  This has become a world wide problem as nations continue to decline and costs of food and fuel rise.  Pirates have been concentrated in recent years near the Indonesian islands as well as off the coast of Africa near the country of Somalia.  The United States has been involved in the hunt for these pirates as well as other nations who want to prevent bloodshed and the loss of cargo that may result in millions of dollars of lost revenue.  What should be done to combat this modern day Blackbeard phenomenon?  Why would it be important to stop these pirates?
